Mahindra XUV 500 Engine: The Mahindra XUV 500 is bolstered by an engine with 2179cc. The 2.2 litre engine will be similar to that of the mHawk engine of the Mahindra Scorpio. The XUV 500 will power up to a maximum of 120 Bhp and a maximum torque of 290 Nm. The gear box is fused with a 6 speed manual gearbox. It is also expected to arrive in a 6 speed automatic transmission option as well.

Mahindra XUV 500 Competitors: The Mahindra XUV looks to place itself between the likes of Mahindra Scorpio and the upbeat SUV cars like the Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva, Mitsubishi Outlander, and Honda CRV. As of now Mahindra has started on a un charted territory with no other car maker on the same field. Probably the only remote competitor could be the yet another out of the box Skoda Yeti.
Mahindra XUV 500 Mileage: The mHawk engine from the likes of the Mahindra Scorpio will also power the XUV 500. So the car would have a no non sense approach in terms of the fuel efficiency. As per reports the car rightly offers to deliver of 12kmpl in the city and 14 kmpl on the highways.
